Robin Valley Community Radio

AM 1690 - Community radio in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska

Coverage Area

The coverage area for Robin Valley Community Radio is limited. We're located near 46th Avenue and Grover Street in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. The radio signal is greatly affected by the time of day, and to an extent, weather and solar weather conditions.

During the day the signal is very strong within a quarter mile of the station, and usually quite listenable within a half mile. A listenable signal has been heard at some points between one and two miles. While range testing with a sensitive auto radio, we've heard the signal, weak of course, as far as three miles away.

The listening (shown in blue below) area can be roughly considered to be:

  • East-West: from 42nd Street to 50th Street
  • North-South: from Spring Street to F Street (including I-80)

  • Green = Grade A
  • Blue = Grade B
  • Yellow = Grade C

At night, the coverage area shrinks a quite a bit, as ionospheric skip allows distant high-power commercial radio stations to be heard in Omaha, greatly overpowering our low-power station

We are very interested in receiving your recpetion reports. If you hear our signal on your radio, please send us a report letting us know. If you'd like, we can reciprocate with a QSL card.
